Fieldwork
I’ve had the fortune of conducting fieldwork some incredible coral reefs across the Caribbean and Pacific in hopes of understanding a) when coral reefs bleached in the past and b) what hydrodynamic and atmospheric conditions cause temperatures to rise above coral bleaching thresholds. I promise that I’ll update this page with some cool photos and reflections at some point.
Belize 2024 (July - August 2024)
I spent 17 days in Belize conducting fieldwork as part of the Super Reefs project in collaboration with Stanford University and the Nature Conservancy. More to come soon!
Majuro 2023 (September - October 2023)
I spent 29 days in Majuro, Republic of the Marshall Islands conducting fieldwork as part of the Super Reefs project in collaboration with Stanford University, the Nature Conservancy, and the Marshall Islands Conservation Society. More to come soon!
Curaçao 2023 (August 2023)
With funding from a WHOI Ocean Ventures Fund award, I spent 10 days in Curaçao conducting coral coring fieldwork (for the first time, both in general and as Chief Scientist!). More to come soon!
